We are an interdisciplinary group of young researchers placed in the Balearic Islands (Mallorca, Spain). We are all teaching at the Department of Applied Pedagogy and Psychology of Education (Faculty of Primary Education, Balearic Islands University –UIB-).
Our research interests involve to explore how the mutual influence of some fundamental linguistic, cognitive and temperamental components change and develop.
Particularly, we aim at examining how bilingualism boosts executive control and its influence in language and cognition in children with language acquisition difficulties. We are also interested in giving advice for educational practice and to extend our findings to broader research communities. Our research is arranged in three broad overlapping sections:
α Bilingualism and attentional control
β Longitudinal studies on Specific Language Impairment
γ Decision making and moral dilemmas in the bilingual mind
